The basement remodel has commenced. With Sarah moving in and Katie showing no signs of actually moving out, we are starting to fill up the space we have. Particularly, there are some times when we would like to zone out in front of the TV to different shows. Sarah brought a couch with her that we thought would be great in the basement to set up a second TV area. Of course it's so huge that we can't fit it down the stairs, so we have an extra couch chilling in the dining room at the moment.
Plan is to put my furniture in the basement and keep Sarah's behemoth sofa upstairs. First, we need to get the family room down there in shape. We took down all the hideous track lighting and put in some canned, recessed lighting. My dad is working on patching the holes in the ceilings from when they must have inspected for water damage. And then painting will commence....more painting. Yuck!
